A couple of months ago the Palliative care Dr requested a family meeting. So Sister and Brother we’re here for a week, both from other states and stayed here and met with both the Oncologist and Palliative Care Dr, the cancer is considered terminal possible life expectancy one year. My kitties welfare is very much on my mind!! I love both of them!!! I have an animal lover who is my care giver (for (11) years she is my who to see to their welfare, in my will as in charge of them. My property goes to hospice, they liquidate and keep a % with balance going to the local shelter where my kitties came from. I hope the Drs are wrong!! The Dr ask me what afraid of, kitties welfare as I look into green eyes also being in pain alone in a bed. Palliative care says I will not be in pain as I am under care of pain management clinic. They have been increasing morphine in my pump. This is why have not posted!! Last two weeks did a pet scan and found cancer in my bones, lived and bones. Cannot remove, all they can do is slow it down. If that not works The Hospice Team will be called in. Right now doing good, to have morphine increased and start stuff this week. Due to virus only seeing people in need of IV or in need of urgent care. Kitties and I are doing well I am on pill form of chemo temporarily. Kitties know something is up they have been very affectionate...so can use your purrs and prayers!!! I will be better at posting!! Did not want to post sad stuff!! My thoughts as US counties are on lockdown, hope all are safe from the virus!!!’ We cannot have visitors just health care people. We visit with each other in the courtyard. I am in a nice 20 unit apartment complex for people who are low income and have disabilities. A nice place!! Peace to all!!!!Love those who are with you today.....purrsss, Remember those from previously...mewz
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know that may seem trite to say, but I do think of you, and your kitties, and pray for you all everyday.
You are such a sweet gentle soul Ruth. I am so glad you are living in such a nice place and have people around you who love and care for you, and your precious little ones. I am so glad they will always be taken care of by someone you trust.
You are a brave, kind and loving person. I will keep praying for you all.
I sure hope they are wrong. Miracles can happen. We had a local friend with brain cancer, and they gave him 6 months. He lived 5 years. So you never know. Keep the faith, be positive.
I’m glad you have a plan for your babies, at least you don’t have to worry about that .
I’m glad you’re not in pain, and I’m glad you have support. Please feel free to write, or post here anytime.
Stay safe and well. I’m planning on seeing you around for a good while yet! ((Hugs))
Please post when you can, good or bad, happy or sad - that is what we are here for - each other (((hug))). I will write soonCats are like Potato Chips - you can't have just one
Sending out prayers to both you and the kitties... please feel free to post here, we are here for you. San Francisco is in shelter in place mode, I only go out to cook and socialize my father, who is 95....and to go shopping for food. I miss my volunteer work at the SPCA, and hope that we will be allowed out soon....keep up positive thoughts and love your kitties, they will give you strength.
In Asheville NX. I have a four hour dr appointment today. I am to get two drugs by IV. Take care. Be saf.Love those who are with you today.....purrsss, Remember those from previously...mewz
Love you sweetie...hope your infusion goes well...nm
right that that is not the news we wanted to hear, but please don't hesitate to post whether happy or sad...we are here for you no matter what! It sounds like you have a good plan in place for both you and kitties. I'm so glad you have them both to help care for you. They are natural nurses for sure .
I will pray that the chemo slows things down for you and continued pain-free. You are such a sweet person and deserve nothing less! Please post as much as you feel like. We are small in number here but care about you and can be your support system. Especially during this crazy time when we can't have personal contact, the internet is a blessing.
Many prayers and purrs from my household to yours!! Much love, Cheryl
