Heading into month 3 of stay at home....msg

well, actually 2.5 months, my girls love that Mom is home...and although I miss my volunteer work at the SPCA, they are on reduced people, but the dogs and cats are slowly, but surely, getting their forever homes....YAY!!!
The weather here is starting to warm up, and the girls love the morning sunshine, as well as the afternoon sun, which is Mira's fave....

hasn't been bad. I am used to living by myself and working by myself. I am enjoying not having the drive to work and we heard that we will continue to do so for at least the next ten weeks. They did cut our hours for ten weeks by 20 percent but we can use PTO to cover it.

With the warmer weather coming, I am looking forward to more time swimming and gardening. The cats have adapted well to having me around!

The main difference is not doing things with friends and family. I also feel for others that are adversely affected by this. I know I am lucky and don't take it for granted. That's why I can't look at this a being "imprisoned" as some people are saying. So many have it so much worse!!

if you don't mind my asking, what is PTO? I am also used to being with just the girlz....and my father who joins me for dinner nightly....you are right, some have it way worse!

do it without my kitties. PTO is paid time off that includes our vacation, sick time and holidays (and now furlough). I spent my first furlough day getting my garden tilled and fenced - all ready for planting!

I envy your being able to do gardening...I miss that...nm

The store where I get it still has curbside service, as does the store where I get Sara's raw. That's a nice arrangement.

I'm making sure I always have a "spare" on hand every time I finish what I have and go to get more. That's not hoarding, but that way I don't have to worry about being almost out and finding there isn't more available in time.

Now if the toilet paper situation would just loosen up . . . . .

Darick is the only thing keeping me sane.

Yesterday was the FIRST day people were allowed out between the hours of 6 am and 9 am - bearing in mind that it doesn't get light until 7.30am.

I decided to venture out on a small walking loop around where I live. It was like the London Marathon! GROUPS of people standing talking to other groups (We are supposed to be 2 metres apart and not stop) People with dogs taking their owners for a walk - all over the place. I think I will satay in my little cocoon for a while longer

Isn't it

amazing that so many people feel invincible? They must not watch the news or something. Once the weather got a bit warmer, so many are out and about not even wearing masks to help slow things down. I'm not about to tempt fate and glad to hear that you aren't either.
