I have to admit I miss being out and about, but my two girlz love the fact their "servant" is available 24/7...their boxes get cleaned right away, food is done on time (4x a day, wet am, dry midday, wet pm, dry 10pm). How have your furkids' schedules changed? My girlz have tried to get me to feed earlier, but I keep an eye on the time...
Mr D is still hanging in, just. He definately has some nerve damage going on, the cancer is in his left elbow, his left hind is dragging, now his left eye s not blinking much and he gets gunk in it which I have to clean 5/6 times a day. His head is also slightly tilting to the left. HOWEVER< he still wants to play rope, although he doesn't gallop about anymore. I put him on his treadmill and he can walk slowly for varying amounts of time 3 mins - 20 mins till he gets tired. I have left him alone for only 1hr during the last 6 weeks. when I had to get a new car battery.Cats are like Potato Chips - you can't have just one
well here. It can be a struggle keeping enough working space some times. Everyone wants to stretch out all around my laptop when I'm working.
I set up a larger box filled with crinkley brown paper and little cat toys hidden in it. I put those sparkle balls, corkscrew wire, and other catnip-filled toys. The younger ones are having a blast jumping in there and searching for the toys. It's noisy but it keeps them busy! Some just like to make the paper rattle and a few "catch" the toys and walk around the house with their "kill".
My group of friends are set to resume our monthly get-togethers next week. We will be outside at my house. There are only six of us but it will be nice to see them again.

I've been at work almost this whole time. I was home initially, but I don't really have the kind of job I can do from home, so I was able to start going in to work every day. It was okay, because there weren't many of us there and the place was very empty, so I have felt very safe.
However, now they're starting to let more people come back in - not all at once, but in stages. Still, I'm seeing more people every day at work than I have for a couple of months, and I have to say, it's a weird adjustment.
We have very strict guidelines about social distancing and cleaning workspaces and washing hands and such. Still, I'm a bit surprised at how surprised I am every time I turn a corner and there's someone there. It's definitely a weird time we're living in!
I can relate....you had the place to yourself and now have to share...nm
