I'm watching old reruns on cable. It's obvious, of course, that in some scenes, the black cat Salem is an actual cat and in some scenes he's an animated puppet. But I just noticed something else today.
The "real" Salem is a black shorthair cat. But today there was a shot of him playing in a pile of wrapping paper, and the cat in that scene was a medium hair. So it occurred to me that obviously they had more than one cat for the "real cat" scenes.
I'm just surprised no one realized that viewers would be able to see the difference between a shorthair and a medium hair cat. I tried Googling it to see if there were pictures anywhere online (found out the four cats were named Elvis, Lucy, Salem, and Witch) but couldn't find any.
Still, I'm surprised the casting directors let something as obvious as that slip through.
That's all. My "deep thoughts" for today
If you are not a cat person, you do not notice such things....msg
I did start to watch it on Netflix, but have to say that I got bored with the storyline after she opted out of her sacrifice and the whole town was targeted by the side of evil....
