Asking for response to vaccines...NCR

Asking for people who had the Pfizer vaccine what their reactions were to the second shot...Thanks! I got my first last Friday with minimal reaction (a little soreness in arm for a day). Of course the girls all wanted to walk on the arm or sit on it while it was sore. Wanted to ask what others have experienced with their second shot...

I also got the first Pfizer shot last week (Monday)...msg

I developed body aches later that day and actually felt pretty queasy the following day, but in the greater scheme of things, it wasn't all that bad.

I have heard such a huge range of reactions to the second shot, so I am really not looking forward to it.

Have you done the Shingrix vaccine? My cousin had massive reaction to that...nm

given that I have had Shingles TWICE - first time when I was 13 years old!

What type of massive reaction? Is your cousin ok??

she has scheduled it for a Friday, so she will have the weekend to recover. Seems she has a body which is very reactive to vaccines....same as her mother. TWICE! Yikes, my stepmom had it once, and it was a real b*tch....

When you said massive reaction, that sounded alarming...msg

not to downplay the discomfort of body aches, but I was worried about a much more serious reaction.

I haven't gotten any vaccines, including a flu shot, in many, many years - so that adds to my apprehension.

Yes, getting Shingles at age 13 was really bizarre, and back then there was no treatment. At least it got me out of final exams, lol. The second time was during chemo, and I recognized and diagnosed it immediately - it was in the exact same location. I called my doctor and since I caught it so early he was able to send in a prescription.

I had not been up on my vaccines either...msg

until the Affordable Care Act came into being, since then I have been upon the flu vaccine...and got the COVID though the public health department here....

I'm getting my second on the 6th. msg
