OK, Last November after a series of hospitalizations for hemoptysis, I stopped taking Pulmozyme to see if that was causing my bleeding--(I had been taking it twice a day).

Immediately my bleeding stopped and I haven't had so much as a streak since. However, my FEV1 has steadily been declining since I stopped the Pulmozyme. My doctor did CT Scans and blood work, but CT was showing no exacerbations and blood work was normal. I have now dropped from a baseline of FEV1 76% last November to a baseline in the high 50-low 60's!

I feel fine, am exercising well, but still feel like I am not clearing out my lungs like I did when on this medicine.

It's horrible--I do not want to go back to all of those bleeding problems as I had to have 3 embolizations because of them, but I am not willing to accept low lung function either.

BTW, I have been doing the glutathione orally for a little while now. I am not up to my full dose yet though. I also cannot inhale it because I have cepacia. I have not really noticed much difference since I started GSH a few months ago.
