We now know what the cause of Ashleigh's diarrhea has been. We increased her enzymes which allowed her digestion to work better. Therefore because she eats/drinks no fiber in her diet, she gets constipated. Everytime we would stop using the Miralax because we thought she didn't need it, she would get constipated and then the only that could pass through was the liquid, causing us to think she had diarrhea. So, when we started the Miralax, she stopped having diarrhea and is now having normal, healthy stools. We were able to start back on the GSH (yeah!) and hopefully things will continue in the right direction. Our CF clinic helped us get to the bottom of this so kudos to them. Normally, they aren't a big help to us but this time they came through. Her appetite is getting better too. Yeah! Happy Thanksgiving to all.
