Hi everyone, I am new here.
my son Liam is 5- CF and we are about to have our 3rd round of IVs for PA in 2 years. We have also done alot of Nebulising tobrmycin and colistin + oral cipro.
Next week we have a bronch and picc put in for IVs again!!! he is completly well, no cough, full of energy, good colour, 50% weight and height, the only thing is this PA on a cough suction again!!!
Ok so I am looking to Neb GSH with him, he currently nebs Hypertonic saline 5% going upto 7%.
We have been on oral lipo Gsh and every time we start we start having horendous malabsortion with terrible poops which I think is an explosion of yeast. This has happned 3 different times now, a bit like tiffernys story. Every time I put him on high strenght garlic and grapseed and then probiotics and it comes right about 1 month later.
So I think I have the yeast cleared now but nervous of starting that again as it takes so long to get back to normal and he loses weight during that teriible time.
So neb GSH, please tell me where to start.
Liam is 18 kilos and is 5 years old.
