"I had another idea, and I started to give inhaled glutathione as dry powder using the formoterol inhaler. I asked my pharmacist to put sodium gsh powder (107,5 mg = 100 mg gsh) in soft capsules of the same size of formoterol ones (size 3); he told me that he could put 180 mg for each capsule. The result is brilliant: patients can inhale gsh powder in few seconds instead of 15 minutes for the aerosolized form, and (probably) they can get more gsh in their bronchi. Now they take 2 capsules (360 mg) three times a day for inhalation, and they feel happy. Of course, it's too early to say if they feel more comfortable from the respiratory pont of view."
On the other hand Dr. Clark Bishop tried a dry inhalation of unbuffered GSH and nearly keeled over. The difference may be that Dr. Visca is using a buffered form.
