As you know, I write up summaries of all the abstracts presented at the North American and European CF conferences and post them at the wlgroup2 on yahoogroups. I just came across an abstract stating that a Belgian team using clinical doses of Viagra or Levitra in delF508/delF508 CF mice restored CFTR response to about 85% of normal! These substances apparently help not only as correctors of the trafficking defect, but also as potentiators of the channel!

It is very weird to think that using erectile dysfunction drugs in delF508 persons may be an important new approach to treatment.
