Due to muscle tics, we started to research the possible causes and magnesium seems to be a possibility for our daughter. We contacted her doctor to have her level checked and they said unless she is malnurished or has a really bad diet, they do not usually see magnesium deficiency. Well, my daughter has a HORRIBLE diet and has all her life, 11 years! There is so much info on magnesium, but much of it is from those selling the product with biased opinions so I am glad to hear of someone with an unbiased opinion so that it is good. From I have read, the literature does point to glycinate as the best for digestive absorption and it helps for those who may experience diarrhea as a side effect. I will keep you all abreast of what we find out. Apparently, regular blood levels will not give an accurate reading...you have to have the red blood cells tested. This is good stuff!
