I am afraid that the redox ratio of GSH within CF cells is still highly skewed towards GSSG (oxidized GSH). Their proposed therapy is to strip CF cells of GSH, which is utterly wrong-headed. Now, isothiocyanates may be very useful in killing bacteria in the extracellular milieu, but to use it to deplete CF cells of GSH is, well, words escape me!
