Thanks for responding. I guess I just got discouraged because despite the GSH, my daughter still cultures bad bugs and still doesn't have a good appetite and yet I, too, like you, wonder where she would be had we not incorporated inhaled GSH into her treatment regime several years ago. I don't know if she is keeping sinus infections away because of the GSH or because of the Tobi. We only give her one GSH pill a day and she inhales twice a day, but we have stopped all of that because she cultured aspergillus and we aren't sure how GSH would respond to a fungus. It's all confusing. We are really on top of her CF and she has never missed a day of CPT in almost 13 years. Her chest xray was normal and they call her the Poster Child for CF at the CF Clinic, but she is still dealing with CF issues that are worrisome. We used to give her GSH Curc Caps but she started to have terrible diarrhea issues and so we quit and then it stopped. We then went to a new brand without the curcumin in it and it doesn't cause diarrhea but I have no clue if it is helping in any other way especially since we give her so little. We are just cautious. Would love to know how the trials on it are going but have not heard anything and no one will say until the trials are over. It was discouraging to hear that 2 drugs in the CFF's pipeline were rejected. One was Denufosol. But we are still very hopeful that the other meds will be the answer we are looking for. So glad that your son is doing well. I hope others will post on here with their updates and stories. It would be very helpful to know if others are having success or lack of succes with GSH. Like you said, it's expensive. Worth it if it helps, though. Best wishes to you and your family.
