My Lung function (FeV1) was down from 98% to 90%, which is a low for me, but didn't surprise me since I had such bad shortness of breath several days ago.
On the positive side I cultured no bugs in my sputum culture. No PA, nothing... which I thought was very strange. I have had PA since I was about 23, so it was a surprise, and I guess maybe due to the GSH, as the culture was taken after I'd been on it for about 3 weeks.
My doctor is prepared to let me try inhaled GSH for 3 more weeks and retest my lung function before taking any further action. if it's the same or worse, then I'll go on high dose inhaled steroids for 2 more weeks, and if that doesn't work some IV antibiotics. I haven't had IV antibiotics in 12 years, so I hope I don't have to have any of those!
Anyway, fingers crossed for the inhaled GSH to help, and also for more of the oral caps to arrive, as I've been out of them for 2 days.
