On August 22, at 0028am, Katie will be 2 years old!!! Looking back on the past 2 years, I remember many of the challenges that we have faced: heartache, sadness, determination and happiness. As with all of you, I have searched and read about CF for HOURS!
Not long after Katie was diagnosed, I read an article about a woman who had CF...she was from Arizona and was into yoga and alternative health. She said that one of the things that helped her stay healthy was taking NAC. Researching NAC lead me to asking questions during a CF support group meeting, which lead me to talking to other CF parents about GSH, which lead me to Hope, which lead me to this website. Karma!
I really feel that Katie's good health is due in a large part to GSH. We have had 1 ear infection, no colds, no coughs, no flu. Although, we have recently had persistant + nonmucoid PA cultures, everything is good. Her weight is 95%, her lungs & bowels are good, and she is VERY active. Katie is just a happy little girl!
I am so glad that I found this website...it has helped me SO much......I have pondered thru every post, and learned so much from all of you. Thank you for your support and encouragement, and I look forward to many more years reading our posts!
