When people say that bulldog was a job not a breed I believe that is only right during the time when men depended on there dogs to survive. Not so much in the seventies. I think they were long porch/yard dogs in many cases. Not all but many.I don't believe Mr Scott or Mr john D Johnson needed there dogs to survive. They both started to register there dogs and showed them.Setting a type or style according to there own views. Both later setting a standard.
