Re: Remembering 33 years ago tonight
How clearly I remember the announcement in New York, that Eastern 401 had gone down in the Everglades. A family friend, Charlie Kuchenbrod, a man who was in our home and an elder in our Syosset Community Church, lost his life that night. As I recall, he was going to see the Superbowl or some other football game. He was a nice man, married with two small children. I was told that Mr. Kuchenbrod was found strapped in his seat, underwater. I don't know for certain. I think of him fairly often. How I hope he is at peace, as well as his family. It's been a long time, but Charlie, there are people who miss you.
