Re: Angelo Donadeo-jump seat survivor
My father was Jack Steffen, System Director of Aircraft Overhaul at the time of the crash and assisted in the recovery effort and investigation which followed. It was not long after the crash that my dad told me that your father was Angelo Donadeo who I knew because my dad introduced us a few weeks earlier as he had repaired my television set. I was 16 years old at the time and knew about the situation of Angelo being in the hell-hole but surviving. I remember that night as my father had woken me up and told me to drive him as fast as I could to the airport where he got on a helicopter. I asked if there was anything I could do to help to which he responded by dissuading me because of the horror of what I would see. My dad passed away on Good Friday 2003. I know he always thought of Angelo as his name implies, an "angel". --Previous Message-- : Our father, Angelo Donadeo, who was riding the : jump seat home from New York that evening, : passed away this week-end on October 2, : 2004.
