Re: The 36th Anniversary of Eastern Flight 401
Sandy, I remember riding with you on the airboat to the crash site 1 year ago. What a terrible tragedy for you and your family to lose all 3! Being a Christian I can only imagine your cousin's happiness when her eyes closed to this life and she opened them to eternal life and beheld her husband and son with her! Being your best friend and role model, I know she has stayed close to you in your heart. As I said to you that day 1 year ago, it happened so fast and was so unexpected that you did not have time to be afraid. And I do not remember being hit and knocked out as they told me I was, so if I had died I cannot say that I would have done so suffering. That has always been a source of comfort to me as the stewardess across from me, Stephanie, drowned in 6 inches of water because she was unconscious. But I know how hard it has been for you to have lost her and her husband and that precious baby. Miguel was 11 months old and lost both his parents. He is truly our miracle baby! Thank you so much for your wishes for myself and my parents. By the way, the memorial (tribute) that we are working on is so beautiful! The night sky has stars and each star will have a name attached to it of a passenger or crew member who did not survive. Your cousin, her husband Steve and their baby boy will be there. Do you know what they were going to name the baby? I will send you more info on the tribute and the website. For now, just know that all 3 hold a special place in my heart and they will never be forgotten as long as I live! Love....Bev
