Trudy. I am sitting here with my brother, both the grandchildren of Jessie LaRusso (I even carry her name), and we were hanging on your every word as we read. First, I'd like to extend our sympathy that you had to experience such an ordeal. Grandma never really talked about it, but our mother spoke of that day often. Especially the fact that Grandma had a bad feeling the night before and almost didn't board the flight. Grandma was thought of as somewhat of a clairvoyant - very often sensing things before they happened - and the night before she had one of those feelings. She called my mother saying she didn't want to go. She even played the flight number in the lottery. Our mom told her if she didn't feel right, not to get on the plane. But as it was the holidays and she was going to meet all of the family down there, she proceeded. But other than a few scattered details, we never knew much else. So to hear from you has been incredible. Sadly, grandma passed nearly 15 years ago, but she was surrounded by family and always loved. She carried out her later years painting and sculpting as was her passion, and our family home still holds most of her pieces. My mother was her youngest daughter and misses her mommy daily, so we will be thrilled to share this thread with her. If you are willing, I know we would all LOVE to be in touch and hear more about your interactions with Grandma Jessie. And thank you for keeping her safe. That is a debt too big to ever properly quantify. Our hearts are with you and your loved ones. Warmest Regards Jessie LaRusso & Family
