Process of writing a letter to the airlines about his flight down there just before it crashed. The story was that when they wheeled him into the hospital he said 'hold that letter'keeping his sense of humor. He was such a great letter writer. He also had saved the life of a stewardess in telling her to sit by him before the crash. He was the lone 1st class survivor.
