Thank God for the Internet

Hi all... I can't remember how I ended up on this site an hour ago, but I'm glad I did. I have no connection to this tragedy or likely to anyone who is, other than having lived in Miami from '87 to '97, worked for the System One then-subsidiary of Eastern Airlines during those years, and have worked in the airline and hotel industry for almost my entire adult life (36 years at the time of this writing). I have heard about EAL 401 from former EAL employees and friends and read about it other places over the years. While we all take the Internet for granted these days, I can't help but be amazed that because it exists the memories shared on this site have informed and helped people connect and reflect in many ways. It will soon be 46 years since that fateful night in 1972, but after reading many of the posts on this site I can sense the spirits of the lost and surviving, hoping that all found peace in the beyond or here on Earth. Wishing all a Blessed Holiday Season here in this crazy world we inhabit in 2018.
