I actually like Aero Zeppelin more than anything that ended up on Bleach. I'm not really into the noisy/slugdy stuff on that album (Scoff, Negative Creep etc.) because it's so unmelodic and repetitive. Well, to be fair Nirvana is almost always repetitive, but as long as there are good riffs/vocal melodies/whatever I can sink my teeth into, I don't mind. The jangly riff at the beginning of Aero Zeppelin definitely qualifies. It's pretty atypical for Nirvana's material at the time, but maybe that's why I like it. Plus, it's one of the few songs that deviates from the verse-chorus-verse structure, to good effect I think.
The other four Incesticide tracks from that demo tape are pretty weak though. There are a few bits and pieces that are nice, like the riff at the beginning of Mexican Seafood, but never a whole song. The same goes for Floyd the Barber and Paper Cuts on Bleach, which were actually also taken from this demo tape because the band preferred these takes to their re-recordings with Chad Channing.
I doubt you'll want to buy the whole With the Lights Out box set, but it contains two more songs from the demo tape (If You Must, Pen Cap Chew) that I think are also much better than the other stuff on the tape. Maybe check them out on Youtube or something.
