did well.
Two things:
1. That's David O' List singing on the title track to Emerlist, not Lee Jackson.
2. I think the real problem with Jackson's voice is that he was not vocally equipped to what Emerson wanted to play. IMO, Lee had a wonderful rock voice and was at his best when he was sneering (the second bridge of Five Bridges), belting (Bonnie K) or doing some sort of Dylan impression (Little Arabella, Country Pie). When he went for the ballads, he couldn't hold a candle to Greg Lake. As much as I love listening to Jackson sing with The Nice, even I have to admit that Lake was much more versatile with his singing.
