I think the bulk of the difficulty in "Fracture" has to be the part where Fripp does that speedy run in the middle for three minutes. He said he had to practice a lot on that one and it shows. If he didn't practice, the muscles on his fret arm probably would have turned to goo every time that lineup tried to tackle it.
