I listened to it three times a few years ago and mostly thought all the songs were only one unique twist away from being formulaic and that the rhymes were too predictable. The effect was I could nearly sing along to the music after hearing only one verse.

My intuition was that the album was maybe a 'B', not an 'F'. Since my taste tends to mirror John's, that's a big rating difference to overcome, so I put it on my mp3 player to give it another chance for until after I read the reviews of next month.
