Slightly off-topic, but I wanted to say that these are some of your best reviews in a long time (not that you'd lost it lately or anything...I just needed to add a qualifier, dammit!).

I haven't as of yet ventured very far into post-Pet Sounds Beach Boys and these reviews have given me a better idea of what to expect on an album-by-album basis than Mark, George or Ryan (RIP) ever managed.

I still think the early albums are tremendously undervalued on the whole (to the degree that a group of albums I'd place in the 6 or 7/10 range can be called 'undervalued'), but the fact that I didn't pay for them probably accounts for a lot of that goodwill.
