I can imagine the hype when they appear but the reference to 70s are too much. First 3 albums are good but after that that they fell down. Morse departure does not help and his solo career is not my cup of tea either (and I don't care about the lyrics).
Together with The FLower King they led retro prog revival in the 90s. Both bands have a couple of good record but did not add their own flavour like Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree or Anglagrd to name a few so in the end they sound a little formulaic.
I recommend Transatlantic that is a super group where Morse join Flower Kings guitaristcRoine Stolt, Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy and Marillions bassist Pete Trewavas. They have 4 albums only which have a littñe pinch of each so it's not boring in the end
