I kinda get where he's coming from on HTTT
There's some great songwriting on Hail to the Theif, but I understand his assessment that they're just not as potent and exciting on that record as they were on OK Computer. Thom's voice sounds comparatively thin and a lot of the time those soft electronic beats make the songs less menacing than I think they intended. To give an example, I think 2+2=5 would have worked way better in the OKC style (as great as that song is). On Kid A though, I can't say I agree with him at all, that album's fantastic.
