To address a recurring issue from some emails I've gotten: I have not abandoned reader comments despite not posting any since the February update. Unfortunately reader comments take a very long time to take care of, and they require a time commitment that I generally cannot accommodate in my current stage of life. In theory I should have some time available in July to take care of them when my family goes away for a few days.

Then again, the last time this was planned, my children got sick and had to stay home, so who knows.
