Returning to this site for the first time since 2004 (I think). Great to see John still presents his comprehensive, nay voluminous critique of rock music across a wide spectrum. Suggest reviews Novum, a 2018 Procol Harum album. The band still touring Europe and in 2019 coming to the US, as well as a brief Caribbean cruise (hosted by none other than Justin Hayward). Band fantastic live, especially with orchestras. Recommend DVDs from Union Chapel and Ledreborg (Denmark) - the latter a worthy orchestral event with 10,000 present on each of two weekend days. Afraid the Moodies have lost flautist Ray Thomas and Graeme Edge has had another drummer on stage for about 15 years now.... but Procol Harum playing with more power and less pretension, treating us to the new stuff and the classics too. Lastly www.procolharum.com must be the best band website in the world, with 7000+ pages! Best wishes John. I've given you these three recommendations. Of course there's lots to see on You Tube.
