I had originally intended to submit this as a comment, but here will be just fine. I want to thank you for your Flaming Lips "Embryonic" review. I had been a Lips fan for about a year but just never got around to this album (though I owned it) until I read your review. It really intrigued me and I finally went ahead and gave it a spin. I had a similar reaction to you, even though I generally don't gravitate toward this kind of music. The review itself is one of my favorite pieces of music writing, you really hit the sweet spot between professional writing, a great love and knowledge of music, and almost childlike wonder - it was the perfect blend to get my attention. I now own six copies of this album because I'm insane, so thank you.
