I read the wikipedia description of combining serial technique with tonal music but I can't find any further details regarding this.

I assume that the tone row is used in the background "flourish", "ripples" (I can hear swirling instruments in the background) rather than the main thematic elements which doesn't seem to be based on a tone row.

I enjoyed it enough. Sort of combination of Bruckner and Sibelius.
