"Even If You Don't" is reminiscent of "Getting Better." "Flutes of Chi" (first performed on 09/01/1994 per Brownbase, which is even before Chocolate and Cheese was released) is potentially similar to something George Harrison would write. This "interpretation" is probably way off base but I hear specific Beatles influences in certain songs on WP (especially given the album title), with EIYD being the "Paul" song, FoC being the "George" song, and FO (which refers to a few Beatles songs) being the "John" song with its similarities to "Run for Your Life" as someone on the Starostin page pointed out. True, I would have trouble identifying which song is the "Ringo" song ("Polka Dot Tail" might qualify if it were here instead of The Mollusk), but it's not like Ringo wrote too many songs to begin with. Anyway hope this adds something even if parts of this don't directly relate to OP's observations. |
