The thing is, when I wrote my REM page, I had been into the band less than 5 years at that point, and they hadn't really seeped into me as fully as they have since. Furthermore, and I cannot stress this enough, the flood of officially released live material from them over the last 15 years has been revelatory for me.

I don't expect I will revise what I wrote for my site (even if I don't 100% agree with my perspective on them from about 20 years ago, I don't think the perspective is especially invalid), but I'm glad they've gone up for me generally.
