I’m inclined to go with the Bright-Side Mix, myself. The reason for this is that Bright-Side seems to me to better fit the strengths of this particular material, whereas Dark-Side seems to be playing into the idea of what the sequel to Up is “supposed” to sound like. Thing is, I don’t really think of I/O as the sequel to Up at all - it feels to me more like a bridge between So and Us. It’s a good album either way, though! Favourite track would be “Olive Tree”, with “The Court” coming in second.
