Curious if you ever had started listening in-depth to any of her post-Hejira albums?

I largely agree with your Mitchell ratings and think she's incredible, but man, Don Juan's Reckless Daughter strikes me as a pretty archetypal ambitious failure, and she never really found her way back unfortunately.

Her career arc reminds me of Stevie Wonder a bit with DJRD as the Secret Life of Plants equivalent - she was so brilliant for a sustained period of time and then her music became irrelevant almost overnight.

Now feel free to tell me that I'm completely wrong :-)
