Songs that bring back a memory or two and the message of why war is an insanity. Imagine It is not that we stand with Obama, but that he stands with us. Preemptive war trumps truth, and death is glorified by those who never have to sacrifice an ounce of flesh. When there is no room left on stone What happens when the gardens of stone can no longer name the dead? They say that the first casualty of war is truth, but they are wrong. To a Marine You can take the man/woman out of the Corps, TO THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES' Semper Fidelis
No Room on the Wall
Good & Bad Torture
WE GOTTA GET OUT OF THIS PLACE
In this dirty old part of the city
Where the sun refused to shine
People tell me there ain't no use in tryin'
Now my girl you're so young and pretty
And one thing I know is true
You'll be dead before your time is due, I know
Watch my daddy in bed a-dyin'
Watched his hair been turnin' grey
He's been workin' and slavin' his life away
Oh yes I know it
(Yeah!) He's been workin' so hard
(Yeah!) I've been workin' too, baby
(Yeah!) Every night and day
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)
We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do
We gotta get out of this place
'cause girl, there's a better life for me and you
Now my girl you're so young and pretty
And one thing I know is true, yeah
You'll be dead before your time is due, I know it
Watch my daddy in bed a-dyin'
Watched his hair been turnin' grey, yeah
He's been workin' and slavin' his life away
I know he's been workin' so hard
(Yeah!) I've been workin' too, baby
(Yeah!) Every day baby
(Yeah!) Whoa!
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)
We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do
We gotta get out of this place
Girl, there's a better life for me and you
Somewhere baby, somehow I know it
We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do
We gotta get out of this place
Girl, there's a better life for me and you
Believe me baby
I know it baby
You know it too.
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one.
It is not that Obama can make history, but rather that "We the people" can change history.
This is what I see in my vote for Barack Obama. The face of America.
A mirror of all of us. And like our own mirror, the image is not perfection but rather the blemished garden of possibility.
Hope. Dreams. Compassion. A longing for the best that is within each of us even on our worst days.
Obama's face is my face and your face. Black, White and Brown and everything in between, it is that mystical rainbow called America.

To write the wrong
Or spell the sin
Who will name the dead?
- John Cory
Will the wind catch their souls and whisper their names to the midnight sky?
Or will silence be the lullaby of the forgotten?
- John Cory
The first casualty of war - is reality.
In war, the unreal becomes real and the lie becomes truth.
- John Cory
I feel that what John Cory writes is what I would like to say, but I lack the skills.
Honor is loyalty and dedication to God,
Country, Corps, Family, and Self.
But you can't take the Corps out of the man/woman!
AND THOSE WHO SERVED BEFORE,
THAT OTHERS MAY SAY PROUDLY
I AM A MARINE!

It must be forged, tested and used.
It must be passed down.
