We wish to include some of the things Walter Payton parent's instilled in him as a young man. "Never give less than one hundred percent." "Begin with the end in mind." He really believed this saying; I would like to close with this; Those of us, who were lucky to live to see him play in Chicago. Thanks Walter... Semper Fidelis
Walter Payton with Don Yaeger.
Which he in turn instilled in his son and daughter.
If you start something, you shouldn't quit, that is what we were taught.
If you're going to play, you might as well play to be your best.
Walter Payton used to say to children, admonishing them to think through the consequences of thier actions.
In times such as these some should take this in mind before starting actions.
"Tomorrow Is Promised to No One."
Two weeks before he passed away, Walter said he wanted to make sure that his book and his life might offer some lessons for others.
He wanted others to remember the importance of appreciating what they have, of remembering that no matter what you accomplished, you are not better than anyone else, that every opportunity you have to meet someone is an opportunity to leave a piece of youself behind.
Know that he left a great deal of himself behind.
A Super Star before these mega-buck pro's.
Who only worry about self.
Taking money without putting out an effort or playing to their best of their abilities.
