Stephen J. Daly USMC You fought a great last battle but sometimes we get more incoming than we can handle. God Bless and take care of you and also Kit and let your memories together help sustain her through these tough times. Chuck Cameron He was a personable man, and like most of the rest of us who are Marines, shared a common bond of fellowship due to that life changing experience. He had his countries best interest at heart, loved his family, his country, and of course the Marine Corps. That's how I met him...as a U. S. Marine fellow shipping over the Internet. We could exchange thoughts, experiences, knowledge, and best of all, care for one another in a way that not many know anything about. We were all pulling for Steve, or Ghost, as he liked to call himself on the Internet. He fought the good fight. God Bless him and strength to his wife Kit and family in this time of sorrow. June 7, 2005 Semper Fi~ I enjoyed the time I spent with Steve at Cookies and the lunches that we shared on occaison. I am sorry for your loss and be aasured he'll not be forgotten by our Brotherhood of Marines. Steve will always be remembered and especially on 10 November. Semper Fi "St John" A good man who loved his wife and family, his memory will live in his their hearts. A good man who served his country well, his spirit will be present wherever Marines gather. Rest in peace, Steve and enjoy the rewards of fidelity to family and Corps. Semper Fidelis, I love you, man You look sharp in your angelic attire. Not exactly Marine Corps regulation, but suitable for the occasion. Trust you never had any doubt about what happens on the other side, because it has happened. I am sure you were prepared. It's easy for me to say you can rise above any infirmity, if only you believe. This is mainly because it is not me with the infirmity. In either case, you have risen above all things of this world, and witness first hand all that you have learned along the way. Take care, Marine. Take comfort in the hands of He who created all, because He has always been there for you, and will forever be. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. Great is His faithfulness. Until we meet again, I shall remain -- Semper Fidelis, Any of us who knew Steve miss him. I offer my deepest sympathy to Kit, and to the rest of his family. He always celebrated his life and the love of his life, Kit. He was loyal and level headed and just an all around great human being. He will be deeply missed. Linda Semper Fidelis/Semper Fi

I never got to know Steve, aka Ghost, personally, but enjoyed reading his posts with pictures from old military aircraft to Iraq sandstorms and even the Ivory Billed Woodpecker. His wit and stories will be missed.

I have known Steve Daly for several years now. Never met him face to face except through photographs and testimonies from other Marines who had met him on a personal basis.

I missed our morning email today and I dreamed of you last night.
We worked together to help someone special, that will never be forgotten; or, that you were a good man, husband, and United States Marine.
I'm proud to have known you, Ghost,
and trying to cope with your sudden death.
I'm still too mad at you for dying to grieve just yet. That will come later. You'll never be forgotten.
Flags are at half-mast at my LZ.
Say hello to Mike for me, Brother.

I had the honor of meeting Steve because of a web site for Marines. Steve attended a reunion in western PA a few years back. I know that his insights helped many in attendance - I hope that Steve took as much away as he gave.
