My dad and his sibs were all cheese freaks. I followed suit.
# 1 - Swiss I can eat a whole pound in one sitting.
# 2 - Sharp Cheddar - White Sharp Cheddar particularly a Irish sharp Cheddar. It was the best I have ever had. When desperate - grocery store sharp is passable. But who can afford the top of the line on a weekly basis.
Luckily there is a Sharp Cheddar available on my Imperfect Foods site. I am ordering some Monday. will post how it is. Plus the Almond butter they have as well.
WI was within a 10 minute driving time from work and 25 from my home. There were Cheese stores along all the back roads and in town. The stores were owned and run by the farmers themselves and were part of the farms. For me it was a cheese heaven. 8-)
#3 - For Italian meals - Mozzarella, Parmesan, Provolone pizza, subs, etc.
# 4 - Parmigiano-Reggiano is a bit strong but add Asiago - Asiago is awesome - think Avocado toast. 8-)
# 5 - Sandwiches: cheddar, monterey Jack, swiss (also for dips).
# 6 - I love Blue cheese dressing - those big chunks in the salads. LOL
# 7 - Smoked Gouda with crackers is delish.
# 8 - Edam cheese is another one I like
# 9 - Philly Cream cheese on all kinds of stuff
# 10 - I use American - it is cheap and I love it on grilled cheese with or without meats. Cotto Salami pepperoni, Spam LOLOL
# 11 - Ok for processed I buy Velveeta when desperate for mac n cheese. But I would rather use Sharp Cheddar and a GOOD PASTA.
The next thing I will be looking for online will be homemade pasta or from an Italian store.
The pastas from Amazon are junk... so I'm going for the real stuff.
