That said, they could definitely help to prevent fires in general, the old fashioned way...by cleaning up the forest and brush land.
Getting in there and removing trees and bushes from the state forests, would help a lot. But, also they need to have controlled burns, once it's begins to rain for the season, so that it's safe to do so.
That's not a complete solution, but it would be a start!
I'm glad that the crops, at least, are enjoying the humidity,
That's really good news about Kenzi!
This is definitely a 'good news/bad news' situation.
Good that the kids were able to visit, and good that there's a job waiting for Dsil, but bad that they are moving farther away.
That would be great...if Dd could also find a job there!
I don't know anything about Chicago. I am finding everyone choosing a different path dizzying, and have stopped trying to keep up with all of the states and cities...except for a couple pf places where people that I know live, as well as here, of course.
My Dh's grandparents spent part of their married life in Colorado, so Dh got to visit his grandmother there each year. And, I know several people who relocated there. I hope that your Dd and Dsil like it there as much as they have.
I don't really follow much in the way of sports, but I was very impressed with some of the decisions that some sports teams, and also some filming (movies or T.V. shows.) made to do what they do, but safely. I pray that everyone remains safe, and has as good of leadership as what I saw.
Have a wonderful week!
