This one deals with a young boy who grew into a man that hid and lived in the Old Meadow. He has a dog named Dubber. I am serious this is about love between animals and humans and animals and animals.
The whole series is emotional... this is beautiful writing. I have read this series once a year to DD. It is one of her favorite series. Mine also.
I have been watching a DVD once a day - there are two stories per disc. I never saw the last season of Morse.... Talk about crying LOLOLOL.
The Author is Colin Dexter and is brilliant study of a mans growth from a curmudgeonly detective who loved Ale, crossword puzzles, Poetry, Wagnerian Operas and who, over the 33 episodes, but married though he loved many smart & brilliant women.
The murders he solved were fascinatingly fatal and horrific.
His Detective Sergeant Lewis was put to the test by Morse's having Lewis do all the work, while Morse did all the solving of the puzzling crimes.
Lewis went on to have his own series which I have also. It stars the same Kevin Whately who was Lewis in the Morse series.
These shows put Oxford on the map. ***** stars.
It was a lovely escape into the University town of Oxford and all the social structure... of the university's.
