Plus there were flocks of Storks and Canadian Geese from MN & WI calling as the passed over the river and lake also heading for Mexico.
The more Locusts are singing now. The sounds are all quite lovely. It was to be an 11th year massive hatching... thoughbthere seems to be less locusts then last year.
Still I love this time of year especially since it's rained at night since that big rain we had three days ago.
The back yard is greener then brown now and the White rain flowers are scattered all over.
Best of all it was low 60s this morning. When I let Charlie out I almost went back inside for a long sleeved shirt. But the coolness felt so wonderful once we got walking.
It is still close to 90 here while SA does hit low 90s.
The days are longer. The sun falls below the tree tops in the West. The Sun is rising in the North East now and the shadows that fall in the house are gentle not the brutal hot rays of Summer.
The sunlight has been moving across my living room and kitchen.... creating rays of gentle light that bounce off the glass globes on my coffee table or send rainbows of light across my dining room table.
I love the change of seasons best of all. If one pays attention one can see not the movement of the sun, but see the movement of the earth.
For it is the planets that travel around the sun. And if we watch closely we can see the moon as it travels around the Earth.
Have a lovely Labor Day Everyone.
