It is my daughters 49th birthday and I have to call her at 10 am my time which is 2 hrs earlier her time to sing her Happy Birthday - a family tradition...
The problem is I need to call the Neptune Society shortly thereafter to deal with a billing problem.
Plus my washer decided to spin the basket completely off it's base. Which means I will have to do all my laundry by hand till the kids find me a decent used one.
The reasons for that are: one NO CAR, two the closest laundromat is almost 1.5 hrs away, and three I refuse to go to town with my neighbors who have their masks off more than on and finally: four - sit in a gigantic laundromat with a large number of strangers. Plus in Tx there are no such things as small laundromats.
The good news is there are squirrels all over the yard. I am finding green Pecans in their shells by the back porch. Apparently Fall is coming.
My two friendly squirrels sit on the tree limb outside my back door. They watch me start the laundry - or they did lol.
Apparently we have a cold front dropping our way. They say temps in the 60's
Oh yesterday I had a flock? of hummers at my feeders on the porch - close to a dozen - if I counted correctly. There were a number of types.
Luckily I put the plastic feeder out so they had 2 feeders to choose from. THey were really chasing each other away. This morning they were all gone.
Every year I have Hummers from up North A few days ago I thought no more would show up. My mistake. They didn't seem to have any trouble zeroing in on my feeders.
The last thing I have to do is call the post office to ship off another box to DD. And have the Mail carrier drop off a 4 box set of prepaid boxes. The Holidays are upon us.
Well, Luckily I did all my laundry earlier this week. So I will be doing clothes as needed not doing a load at a time. Good thing I was a hippie and have had lots of practice over the years. 8-)
Hope you all had a great holiday weekend. Mine was pretty nice.. off and on rain brought cooler temps and lovely breezes. Upper 80s and low 90's stop by around noon. But by the time the sun has dropped behind the trees uphill (around 4pmish instead of 7pmish) the heat is gone.
Take care of yourselves... stay safe - wear a mask, wash your hands and do distancing from people.
Love All Life; Thank You For Posting! :)
