Mamou and Tux are both wild cats that can be handled a bit, in the case of Mamou. They freak out in buildings. Uhura gets upset if left in too long, but she doesn't have nearly the issues that the boys do. Remember, Mamou almost let himself starve to death before he would come in close enough to accept food. (laced with medicine!)
They have heated cat houses on the porch to sleep in, so I would like them here sooner than later, since it's cold at night now.
They became confused during the fire. I was heartened that they were glad to see Dh when we got back, but they don't want to come up here, even though they've been up here in the past. It may still be because of the heavy equipment.
My plan is to start feeding them in the back of Cricket, Dh's little truck. If they start eating there each time, I'm thinking that we can slowly drive it more and more up the hill, then put the food in it.
Start at the bottom. Do that for a few days. Then, go a little farther up and do that for a few days, until they're eating up here. Then, transition them to next to the house.
We're going to find out.
That's too bad about the girls' walks. Hopefully, there will be many non-rainy days for them to take them, coming up. Or, ones where it rains after walk time!
Have a great coming week!
