I was so surprised to see them... but Boy had done some banking for me so it was nice to get the cash. LOL Plus the SPrint bill is paid.
Best of all they brought me two drumsticks and a roll from their favorite Chicken place: Church's Chicken. I have to say it's better the KFC.
But even better they had a garage sale and brought me all the leftovers. ROFLOL!
There are some great treasures. First the DVD's:
The first will be sent to DD it is the classic: The Wind in The Willows.
I love that story and read it to my kids. I am going to watch it first just to bring back my childhood.
Next is the BBC production of Cranfield. It stars Judi Dench, Michael Gambon and others stars of the BBC.
I don't know the story but apparently it is two movies about an English town in the NW of England. It appears to focus around three older Ladies and how life changes in 1842.
Now a DVD that is The Black Cat which is based on a story by Edgar Allen Poe.. one of the most wonderful writers and poets. His life story is fascinating. This will be grisly - as most horror films are. It is an exploration? of Poe as he deals with his wife's death, his insanity and his genius. I have books on Poe and his life and it was filled with sorrow. But what a creative mind. It's a tossup if I will like or hate this DVD.
Next is "Dracula Untold" Luke Evans is the star and he was in The Hobbit series, Captain America... etc. I love Vampire stories - the ones that are honest to the original origins. But I have no problem watching cheesy Vampire movies at all. 8-)
Last is the Daniel RadcliffE movie "HORNS." I love the movies and other theatre he has taken on. For an 11 year old child who has grown up in the Harry Potter Movies he is such a terrific actor. Like Elijah Wood - only 18 when he starred in The Lord Of the Rings. They have both starred in some great stuff that is slightly off the wall but Awesome.
The problem is they are often mistaken for each other. LOLOL
I also got a pack of Tarot cards. The figures are all Angels. I haven't had a deck since the 70's. Sometimes the past sends reminders to me. It will be with my Ouija board in the Library.
Other items... Best of all is the very new looking Foot locker that has legs that screw in. It's very clean looking. I will perhaps put it in the library or DD's bedroom. It depends on the space.
Also a lovely wooden chest that is 6x8" and
is full of handmade soaps - possibly by my eldest DGD.
Then a lovely wooden tray that I think is for dip and ships or some type of food. I need to search the net for similar items. It's lovely and I am using the base to hold all my Essences and Scents for AromaTherapy. Not sure how to use it as a unit. No worries, it will find a home. 8-)
Then there are two very large crystals - the dark 4.5 inches long - which looks dark but it and the white 3.5 inches long - are both semi transparent.
They are sitting in an Abalone shell. Boy did deep sea diving and skin diving. I have a few more of the shells in MN.
The last is a geode which is mostly black & white on the outside but a lovely crystal inside. It is 2# by 2.25". I have a number of crystals and other rocks in MN.
The next to last item is a shelf that hangs in the joint of two walls at the corner. It will be used in the library to hold a treasure - or two.
The last item is a 3 panel set of a framed photo of a beautiful Geode. I am thinking over my bed. Then all the posters I plan on getting of Operas, Writers, and other creative subjects - on the wall over my bureau.
Ok this is the list. I was stunned with all the lovely things but smiled at the memories being called up.
Now I have some good info to share so will post above under Possible Changes. Since they may or may not happen. Time will tell. 8-)
Love All Life; Thank You For Posting! :)
