Boy had asked me before in 2017 but I hadn't lived here for a year when he did. I said no. Beside the boat was here and I couldn't claim the whole property as mine. I was happy to let him store but but was very glad when it got sold this past summer. I actually got to see my whole yard. LOLOL
The reason they want to live here is for when they come back from the Philippines every 6 months. Boy is not a resident of the Island so must return to the US half of every year.
It won't happen for another year or so and it will take some time to sell their home before they can build here.
Yes there will be a problem with dogs. But they will only have the two little ones because DGS is not going to live here.
A lot has to be approved for this to be done. Boy also owns this property as he is on the deed also.
So it will only be can he build a second home that will need a well, power and septic.Time will tell how this proceeds.
But I will be getting a washer for Christmas. YEAH! DDIL said they will buy me one.
Also and this is the big one - they - Boy and DDIL will take their new trailer to MN and pick up all my storage and bring it to me.
Once condition will be a storage unit within walking distance. I will need one next Spring.
Because they will also pick up all the TX storage as well. That will need to be gone through and a lot will go to Goodwill. Since the unit was broken into I do not expect to find much of value there. All I can do is hope they didn't ruin just to destroy.
Then the last thing is that now that Boy isn't working on a clock he will pick me up take me to get my TX ID, Drivers license and get my Homestead exemption on my taxes. But we need to see how my taxes will be affected by the kids addition, etc.
The kids are also going to start fixing up their home to sell it. Now what they are going to do about the childcare I have no clue. I think they plan on being in their home for a few(?) years before moving to the Philippines. I just know any addition to this place needs to be ready before they leave the US.
Oh yea.. I still will need to get the car fixed, the chain link repaired, the porch fixed... a shed put in and other chores of my own.
But, Boy is going to work on removing all my recycling etc. Then maybe my shed can be put up. I do have another kennel at their place which will come here and maybe attached to "their" house so their dogs can play safely.
OK My brain hurts. I have to admit the thing that brought tears to my eyes was that they will get my things from MN. The two of them will drive up load up then come back here. I will stay here... and have the key and know the storage manager.
It has driven me crazy that I have had to buy from Goodwill and Walmart while I have all my clothes, my winter clothes, all my boots. Plus my antique sewing machines, my large lawn furniture, my hope chest, all my dishes, silverware, and so much more.
I left everything when I drove to TN. I hadn't planned on being without everything for 10+ years.
This is the one thing that makes my stomach clench when I wake up in the morning. I really hope this happens. There have been 5 plans to get my things from not only MN but from the TX storage as well. They have "all" fallen through.
All of this is possible. Now I will let it go and see what happens. Fingers crossed & candle lit.
