Buying would be easier than fabricating, and since I don't have a snow disk anymore - one of the kids must have taken it when they moved out. I'm sure that I said okay, but it's been so long, with them being 38 to going on 43, I don't recall. I was probably glad to have it out of my way. - I'd have to buy one anyway, which wouldn't make using a snow disk a clever, $ saving idea, unless the bird seed catchers are super expensive. Or, not wide enough.
I have 4 outdoor cats, potentially, 2 right now, who would take advantage of birds at a feeder. I put a collar w/ bell on Mamou every spring, just for that reason.
If a catcher works, that would be great. If I can't make it work, then I'd not feed them, rather than endanger them. :-(
