He is in the Philippines. Apparently, his mother went on a trip to Australia, and while there, had a heart attack.
Her Dr. in Australia did not want to send her home, which they would have done for free, which made the Philippine govt. unhappy, but the Australian govt. said that they never 2nd guess their Drs., and the Dr. there said that she wouldn't live, if they sent her back. Apparently, it was nearly a noteworthy incident between 2 countries.
Her Dr. said that the best west coast cardiac hospital, which also would not charge the family anything, was in S. California. (For those from here...Riverside.)
So, they flew her there, and have done 3 surgeries. They let each heal before doing the next, and, according to her son (my tech.) she improves with each surgery. I think one more, and she will be going home.
It's interesting what there's time to talk about between doing things on the computer, lol!
It was sunny today, but still poured, on and off. Sometimes it was a very soft rain that you couldn't even hear. Other times, it crescendoed to a loud roar, with the rain looking almost like a solid sheet of water coming down.
When Mamou came in the front door today to get his treat food, he was about to walk back out when it began to rain. He looked out the door at the falling wet stuff, and changed his mind about leaving at that particular moment, lol!
I have a pot of chicken broth ready to go into the freezer in bags. Some of which will be used for my cornbread, and as a base for my gravy, on Thanksgiving. One thing down, quite a few to go!
I hope that everyone's having a good day!
